ISA Award for Jawahar School
A little higher sometimes further.....No goal is ever too far. Jawahar School had bagged the 'International School Award' instituted by British Council. As a part of this grand celebration was conducted on 23 OCT 2011 in the school auditorium. The function was inagurated by Hon'ble Mr. Justice: Pius. C. Kuryacose(High Court Justice). The award was given for the educational activities done on ten various topics, the last year. The ceremony was blessed with the presence of Sri. A. Sampath (MP), Sri. Varkala Kahar (MLA), Rev. Fr. James Thayil CMI (Provincial), Justice. Mr. Sudheendra Kumar, Justice. Mr. Kalam Pasha, Sri. A. Balik( Panchayath President), Sri. S. Suresh(PTA President), Rev. Fr. Mathews Chackalackal CMI (Principal).
" Education as its root word signifies is the drawing out of the innate god given talents of the individual for the benefit of the community. To find out the talents of the children is the duty of the parents. The parent is the primary educator but this task is usually handed over to the school by the parents on various reasons. Through education he learns about his environment, fellow beings, social values and moral values, adjustability, truth ,peace ,justice etc. "

Charities Of Jawahar School
Every year the School spends more than 2 lakh rupees for charity purposes. The amount for these purposes was collected through Food Fest, Lucky Coupon etc.Amina , who had a disability was given an amount of Rs 50,000 for her surgery.A neighboring School was given an amount of Rs. 35,000 for buying their own School bus.Two students from poor families were given Rs. 30,000 to support their education. The Central School under the control of Travancore Devaswom Board at Varkala was given an amount of Rs. 75,000 to buy a School bus.An Anganvadi worker at Moodillavila, Edava, was given a sum of Rs 15,000 to construct a cooking area.Our School is taking all the necessary steps to construct a house for a poor, destitute lady, Baby Nisha.
Career Guidance Programme
On 07th August, Dr. Justine Padamadan, Clinical Psychologist interacted with the students of X, XI and XII, on the topics of adolescent changes, stress and its management. UKF Engineering college conducted a career guidance programme in our school on January 04th. Toonz Animation India presented an awareness seminar on ‘Animation and Visual Effects’ on December 05th. Frankfinn Institute of Air Hostess Training conducted a career guidance seminar to the students on January 11th.
